I've recently received this wonderful new kids detective book by Lajka Books. I was immediately struck with the cool illustrations - mid century modern designs that would definitely appeal to all those retro families out there! Erik and his dog Nipper have to hunt for the stolen canary, camera and horn-rimmed glasses. Available here and definitely worth a look.

I saw this too and I'm going to buy it for Miles to put away for Christmas (shame about shipping costs though!).
I'm keeping my eyes on this new publishing house, a good debut, I'm intrigued.
